On Saturday night, Pauly D and “The Situation” made their second appearance in Chicago at Joe’s on Weed St. The majority of Illinois recognizes these guys as D-Bag guidos high off their 15 minutes of fame. However, there is a minority of low-class broads out to get some from the Jersey Shore’s finest.
True fact, devoted/delusional fans dressed in their finest guidette duds and reserved the booth next to VIP in a sad attempt to get in with the guys… this plan did NOT work out on their behalf as they remained on the OTHER side of the red rope all night.
The Boots Girls fortunately made it through the heard of desperate chicks to meet the classy fellows that now rule the East Coast. “The Situation” wanted nothing to do with us. He was busy showing off his “situation” and hitting on a drunk skeeze who embodied all the Jersey Shore had to offer: True Religion, Affliction, a bump it and a class-less attitude. Quality strike Situation… bet she was DTF.
However, Pauly D shockingly surprised us with his down-to-earth mentality and introverted nature. He never lingered with the skanks who tried hitting on him and was willing to chat with us.
Unfortunately, between crazed fans trying to take pics and Pauly’s bodyguards managing his time, we only got a minute to talk. The DJ from Rhode Island was a man of few words but admitted he enjoys his visits to the Windy City and claims if the Jersey Shore movie ever hits theaters he’d like to be played by Vinny from Entourage (Adrian Grenier).
Additionally, we gave Pauly a signal in case any “grenades” tried hitting on him. A tug on the ear and we swooped in for the save. Believe it or not, Pauly had to be saved from several situations. Crazy fans will pretty much try and do anything for a late night canoodle with these guys. Girls who got too crazy even got escorted out of the bar for stealing too much time, and really, losing too much dignity.
Fortunately, the Boots Girls maintained our class and were even complimented by the bodyguards as being some of the few normal girls they’d encountered along their tour.
All in all, hanging with these guys was quite the experience. From their biggest fans to The Situation’s bigger ego the night was truly unforgettable.
